Philosophy Master's programme
The aim of the master’s programme Philosophy is to enhance and deepen the skills acquired in a relevant bachelor’s programme and foster historical-philosophical and methodical abilities. This programme is intended to prepare students for professions requiring abilities connected with philosophy in areas of politics, society and business. Students are offered the opportunity to individualise their studies by focusing on a specific area. Moreover, over the course of their studies, students enhance their key qualifications and soft skills and learn to apply intellectual flexibility in order to identify complex connections and present them in an understandable written and oral form. Students are in a position to address new problems, specialist areas and tasks.
Graduates of the master’s programme Philosophy will have aquired highly specialised knowledge and skills in the area of philosophical argumentation, thought and action. They will be able to make continual progress on a scientific level and reflect on questions of theoretical world orientation as well as moral and political practice in a critical and constructive way. In addition to subject-specific knowledge and competences, graduates will have acquired crucial individual and social skills for their professional lives.
