Business Administration Master's programme
The master’s programme Business Administration intends to enhance, deepen and specialise knowledge and skills acquired in the bachelor’s programme. Students individualise their qualification profile by selecting special BA core subjects. Two BA core subjects can be chosen from an extensive catalogue ranging from accounting, finance and marketing to management and management science. In addition, questions regarding ethics and ecology are also integrated into the programme, in order to give students the opportunity to deal with subjects and questions concerning social responsibility of companies. As the programme also includes neighbouring disciplines such as business law, economics and sociology, students learn to think and work interdisciplinarily as well as to identify complex interrelations. Due to the fact that English is used as an instruction and examination language, students’ knowledge and skills of English as a business language are greatly enhanced. Beyond this specialist knowledge, students acquire key qualifications and soft skills. These include social, media and international skills. Students are in a position to adapt to rapidly changing practical circumstances as well as find innovative troubleshooting strategies using applicable methods and theories.
Graduates will have acquired basic knowledge in all subareas of the subject and will possess the skills needed to keep their knowledge up to date with the latest research. They will have learnt to reflect critically, to find solutions using interdisciplinary approaches and to present their findings in an appropriate written and oral form. Moreover, they will be able to apply their knowledge and methodological skills to new problems and tasks.
