Global Studies on Management and Information Science (GLOMIS)

Course outline, qualifications and competences

The master’s programme Global Studies on Management and Information Science (GLOMIS) is offered as part of a Joint Degree Programme in cooperation with international universities. Our four partner universities provide students with theoretical knowledge and methodological skills in dealing with information systems, processes and communication technology. Each university has a special focus: business administration at the University of Graz, information science at the University of Hildesheim (Germany), computer science at Pai Chai University (South Korea) and management information systems at Chungbuk National University (South Korea). European students spend their first year of study at their native university and the second at one of our partner institutions in South Korea. The teaching and examination language is English, the only exception being the Korean language course. Spending a part of their studies abroad helps students to not only become proficient in interdisciplinary specialist areas, but also allows them to get to know cultural traditions, the history and language of South Korea. Experiencing other cultural and social circumstances promotes abilities such as troubleshooting competences, the ability to communicate on an intercultural level and social skills.
